Drexel University’s Multidisciplinary & Emerging Programs (MEP) unit in the School of Technology & Professional Studies offers graduate programs in homeland security and undergraduate programs in emergency management. All of our programs are offered 100% online, are theory-based, and provide practical application so students are equipped to face 21st century homeland security challenges. The core curricular strength of our master’s program is breadth (a comprehensive core of professional courses plus traditional homeland security topics) and depth (focused study in computing technology as it relates to homeland security, including cyber security). Our homeland security programs take an “all hazards” approach to defining and addressing homeland security issues, meaning homeland security encompasses dealing with natural disasters as well as man-made. Our emergency management programs are mapped to the Federal Emergency Management Association’s (FEMA) mission to prepare for, protect against, respond to, recover from, and mitigate all hazards, both natural and man-made.
